  • Confirm bore path with install foreman and drill operator (including walking the bore path)
  • Perform job site analysis (JSA) including completion of paperwork
  • Ensure there are proper clearances to install the product per standards
  • Record the depth of the tool head as required
  • Ensure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the product
  • Locate telecom utilities with locating systems

  • Experience with locating & verifying all utilities before construction

Job description

As a Fiber Optic Construction Laborer you will be expected to perform tasks involving physical labor for telecommunications construction projects. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris. May assist other workers within Company.

  • Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments, setting-up of worksite traffic and safety controls and properly securing work area.
  • Ability to dig trenches by hand and with equipment; signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery; restoration of trench lines, seeding, raking, spreading straw and other tasks associated with utility construction
  • Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks.
  • Ability to position, join, align, and seal pipe sections; pull fiber optic cable; mix, pour, and finish concrete and asphalt
  • Fully restore worksite at completion of daily work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt on streets where excavations have been performed.
  • Assist in in loading/unloading construction materials and supplies; perform general housekeeping activities at construction sites/yards.
  • Ability to climb in and out of equipment (trucks, backhoes, trenches, etc.)
  • Traffic Control: Flagging, and traffic control; install traffic control devices, clear and prepare roadway work zones. (Certified Preferred)
  • When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments

Job description

  • Review and verification of project documentation.
  • Cooperation with the project team in order to coordinate and develop the electrical component within the entire project.
  • Application of relevant procedures related to quality systems, environment and safety and health at work, proposing corrective and preventive measures and improvement measures in accordance with the law and ethical standards.
  • Review, estimates and lead bid review process with management personnel to ensure that bids/estimates are completed on time and with a high degree of quality.
  • Assign and coordinate estimating requirements to estimating staff for each project based on schedule and project needs.
  • Drive estimating reviews to ensure that all project plans, specifications, and scopes are fully covered by the estimating staff.
  • Consults with project managers, field supervision, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders as required to discuss and resolve issues.
  • Provide conceptual budgeting advice to clients and project managers.
  • Ability to assess project risks and requirements to provide support ranking and selecting bid opportunities; provide strategic input to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Track information regarding material types and square foot pricing costs, labor productivity issues, historical estimate data, and current construction trends to incorporate this knowledge into estimates.
  • Provide management updates and analysis of department KPIs.
  • Develop standard scope letters and assist with proposal preparation.
  • Maintenance and development of company estimating software.

Requirements:

  • Ability to build and manage effective relationships and department functions in a professional manner.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with a wide variety of personnel both internal and external.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and thrive under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical estimating with the ability to anticipate pricing issues and the ability to provide value engineering guidance.
  • Thorough knowledge of the electrical industry with general knowledge of mechanical, civil, and other specialty trades.
  • Desire to build relationships with key stakeholders involved with the estimating process and actively participate in industry, client, and community relations.
  • Strong conceptual estimating skills.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to implement change.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Additional:

  • BS or Masters Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years electrical contracting or construction experience/ electrical estimating experience/ project management experience.
  • AutoCAD advanced, Revit advanced or some other design programs.

Job description

The Copper Splicer will splice twisted pair copper cables in indoor/outdoor settings (underground, buried & aerial applications) and perform testing as required. Splicer will create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams. Splicer will install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot and repair outside plant copper as well as perform site surveys. Splicer will be required to work during inclement weather and work maintenance hours at the request of the customer to perform high priority circuit / T1 work. Splicer will also be required to work out of town as determined by their supervisor. Splicer will work in a foreman capacity; working directly with customer management personnel to overcome obstacles and provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. Requirements:

  • Install and maintain pressurized closures; both Waffle and Preform
  • Knowledge & proficiency in paper/pulp cable splicing and pair identification
  • Complete accurate paperwork for material and customer billing tracking purposes
  • Operate all vehicles, equipment and tools while adhering to company safety standards
  • Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers and equipment
  • Works efficiently to achieve a high level of daily productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and follow specific oral and written instructions

As a member of our project management team, you will oversee all aspects of assigned commercial, industrial, and residential projects from commencement to completion. You will manage these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements. The candidate should bring to the table a robust knowledge of electrical items from bid through commissioning and not be afraid to jump in when issues arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting
  • Oversee pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field
  • Contribute to winning additional work through Team collaboration during bid reviews
  • Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments
  • Set clear goals and expectations to Foreman and Superintendents
  • Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns
  • Identifying and overseeing the estimating of change orders for assigned projects
  • Manage all jobs closeout procedures
  • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
  • Provide coaching/counseling to Foreman and Superintendents
  • Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry
  • Lead multiple projects managing Field Superintendents

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • At least 7 years of electrical PM experience (large job experience and OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Master Electrical License
  • Strong electrical estimating skills
  • Experience with lump sum projects
  • Experience in municipal and industrial markets
  • Electrical Administrator license (preferred)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong computer skills
